THE SIMPSONS |
Year of release 1989 |
The Simpsons follows a disfunctional family in the small American town of Springfield. The popular show which has earnt great and lengthly success is an animated comedy featuring many comical characters. Among them, the Simpson family, lead by the lazy Homer Simpson, who works at the local nuclear power plant, perhaps their most dangerous asset. His son is the cheeky Bart Simpson, a young elementary school boy who almost always finds himself in strife. Lisa Simpson is kind at heart, not always at her own will. The family take trips to places
around the world, often against the wishes of tourism boards who know in the
world the Simpson family live in nothing is realistic. Dangerous snakes lurk
thousands of miles from their usual habitat. Daring game shows usually risk
life for huge amonuts of money. Police have no authority nor desire it. The
lack of fact perhaps only adds to the humour.
